What changed.
Every version of SSBU Arena and what it brought. The launcher updates itself: you always get the newest one.
Version 0.2.26
- The game no longer stops when you minimize it, also during an online match.
- Settings > Launcher: choose whether closing the launcher quits it or keeps it in the icons at the bottom right of Windows.
- Only one launcher can be open: opening it again brings back the one already open.
- Replays: broken shield, dizziness and hitstun now appear among the moves.
Version 0.2.25
- Settings > Video > Stage background: Black is now really black during a match on all six competitive stages, not only in the pause. The files are made again by themselves the first time you press Play.
Version 0.2.24
- Replays: projectiles and items now appear in new recordings, with their hitboxes.
- Replays page redone: matches grouped by day, fighter portraits, winner, and filters for fighter, stage and result.
- Replay viewer: Pokemon Stadium 2's forms, Nana, Town and City's platforms, and simpler controls on one row.
- Fixed a rare crash of the replay recorder.
- Tooltips in the launcher are readable again.
Version 0.2.23
- Fixed the long freeze at the start of a match after one of the two players had restarted the game.
- Fixed a crash right after the end of an online match.
- A game update that stopped halfway is now done again the next time you start the launcher.
- Both players need this version to play online together.
Version 0.2.22
- Fixed very low frame rates during matches.
Version 0.2.21
- Replays: the game's own fighters and stages under the hitboxes, made from your game files. A switch turns them off.
- Faster start after turning on the PC: the shaders are read from one file instead of thousands.
Version 0.2.20
- Settings > Video: choose the stage background. Black removes it on the six competitive stages; only you see the change and online play is not affected.
- Settings > Controllers: see your buttons and sticks live, and set the dead zone.
- Settings > Player: choose a profile picture, shown in the launcher and in Local Wireless rooms, where the other players see it too.
- In-game menu: the volume changes by 1, and faster the longer you hold the button.
- The stop button no longer covers the percentage while the shaders are being prepared.
Version 0.2.19
- Settings > Video: load the shaders all at the start, or only those of each match for about 3 GB less RAM. Automatic uses each match on a PC with 16 GB of RAM or less.
Version 0.2.18
- Launcher: larger, sharper text, and a window that opens at a size where nothing is scaled.
- Launcher: this list of changes.
- Crash reports: when the game crashes and you are signed in, the launcher sends its log to help fix it, with your user and PC names, folders and addresses removed. You can turn this off in Settings > Online.
Version 0.2.17
- Local Wireless rooms: after the results you go back to the room and can play again, without closing the game.
- Local Wireless rooms: the room maker no longer sees a CPU in the second player's box on the fighter select.
- Fixed a crash at the start of a fight.
- Fixed a crash of the replay recorder with stage objects that come and go, such as Steve's blocks.
- Fixed a second Kirby left on screen when the window was resized while loading.
Version 0.2.16
- Settings: the volume now moves in steps of 1.
Version 0.2.15
- Launcher: opens larger.
Version 0.2.14
- Online: the automatic input delay is 3 frames above about 40 ms of ping, for far fewer rollbacks.
- Online: the ping is shown in the game again, and in a match it is the round trip between the two players.
- Settings: choose your input delay yourself, from 1 to 5 frames.
Version 0.2.13
- Local Wireless rooms: players whose games are in different languages can join each other.
Version 0.2.12
- A small window now checks for updates before the launcher opens.
- The settings you change in the game's menu are no longer undone by the launcher.
Version 0.2.11
- Replays: search by player, fighter or stage, make a replay public or private, upload and delete.
- Replays of local fights after the first are recorded correctly.
- The Online Ranked tile is now Online Matchmaking.
- A much shorter freeze at the start of a match.
- The launcher shows its version in the status bar.
Version 0.2.10
- New installs start with a ready save: the base fighters are unlocked. An existing save gets them too, after a backup.
- Website: you can delete your account.
Version 0.2.9
- Home screen spacing and cursor areas measured again at 1920 x 1080.
Version 0.2.8
- A much faster install and a game that runs about twice as fast.
- Fresh installs now get the Arena menu, the competitive rules and the Kirby loading animation.
